Mary
Practice Manager
With an incredible 18 years of experience at Optimal Chiropractic, Mary is a cornerstone of the clinic. In the front desk role, she ensures that appointments are scheduled accurately, the office flows smoothly, and – most importantly – that every person who walks through the door is greeted with warmth and a genuine smile.
Mary brings an incredible depth of knowledge, compassion, and care to her role. “I love seeing the changes our patients make,” she says. “Watching someone go from struggling to thriving – it never gets old.” She’s deeply invested in each patient’s journey and takes pride in being part of a team that goes beyond pain relief to focus on long-term wellness and lasting results.
Having received chiropractic care herself, Mary has experienced the benefits firsthand – improved posture, better overall health, and a deeper understanding of how proactive care can make a big difference. Her family has also benefited, particularly her elderly father, who saw increased mobility and reduced reliance on medication thanks to consistent chiropractic care.
She describes Optimal Chiropractic as a clinic that’s truly different. “It’s not just about pain relief here. We focus on finding the root of the problem, correcting it, and helping people stay well long term. That’s powerful.”
Mary’s motivation each day? The people. “Everyone who walks in our door shares a holistic approach to life. And I genuinely love helping them.”
When she’s not running the front desk with her trademark warmth, Mary enjoys reading, walking, watching sports and following her favourite team – Arsenal. Her happy place is heading off on spontaneous day trips with her husband, enjoying the open road and time together.
Mary is also a devoted cat mum. She lovingly cares for her two cats – Mammy, a resilient stray who outlived her entire litter, and Misty, who came to her through her niece. Feeding, grooming, and chatting to her feline companions is one of the great joys of her day.
A fun fact? Although very young at the time, Mary got to shake President John F. Kennedy’s hand during his historic visit to Cork in the 1960s.
